Director of the „Labirintul Magazin” Platform’s Address at the Opening of the 2026-2027 Season

Brothers and sisters, friends and supporters, you who keep the faith once for all delivered to the saints, you who from all over the world find yourselves in the „Labirintul Magazin,”

In this place, we have everything! An open community, a living word, the memory of the prophets, the sign of rest, and the promise of Christ’s return. We have everything so that we may see, in heaven and on earth and in our lives, the signs that announce the last times — not to frighten us, but to awaken us. Enough to bewilder the lukewarm, the indifferent, those who claim that believing is lived out in silence and in secret. We will pray for them.

We have everything to make of this community a moment like no other, a unique moment, a moment of love and grace. A moment in which we need no one’s permission to believe, to hope, to wait for the Lord.

This community, as you know, is far more than a gathering. It is an affirmation of what we are: the remnant, the people of the Book, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus!

For here, we are different. We have an identity. Yes! We speak the truth, even when it is disturbing. Yes! We speak aloud of our hope. And above all, we refuse to be told what we ought to believe, how we ought to live our faith, what we ought to think about the world and its clamor.

Here, we have roots! And so what if this irritates those who want a religion without conviction, a faith without commitment, a Christianity without a cross. And so what if it displeases those who want to regulate everything: consciences, rest, meals, hearts.

Our way of life, our worship, our hope — these are not decided in the palaces of the world, nor in denominational councils and committees, nor by passing trends, nor by the spirit of the times. Our lives are the fruit of the Word, of our history with God, of our prophetic calling, of our watchful temperament, of our longing for the Kingdom, of our dreams of Heaven. And sometimes, of our righteous anger — let us be honest!

Yes, here, in this community, Christ continues to knock at the door. Here, the Sabbath remains the sign of the covenant, whatever those who despise it may think. Here, we continue to await the Return, and so what if some wish to lull the church to sleep in the lukewarmness of indifference. Here, we love truth, purity of heart, and clarity of vision, in God’s own way, and so what if some confuse grace with self-satisfaction.

Yes, here, in the „Labyrinth Store,” we continue to call things by their name. Lukewarm, lukewarm. Self-sufficiency, self-sufficiency. And sin, sin. Amen?! For Christ did not save us to be lukewarm.

We are a watchful people, a people free in the truth. This community is ours. It is friendship in faith, love for one’s neighbor, the beauty of the everlasting Gospel, but also resistance: the refusal to become like the world, the refusal to disappear into the crowd, the refusal to be rich in ourselves and poor in Christ. We are what God has created us to be, and we hold fast to it! Even if it disturbs some.

So let the gold of true faith shine forth! Let your eyes at last see! May your garments be white!
